Looking back to the days when cellphones were not popular, Che-ting and her family loved to go for ‘Yum Cha’ once a week. The aunties chatted for the entire morning while the kids played around the round table. Through her monotype printmaking experiment, she would like to depict these childhood memories of family gatherings, representing Hong Kong’s food culture and the vibe of those moments that the prints, fading gradually with each press, are reminiscent of these old day with her family, An old day in Hong Kong.
還記得小時候，手機還未普及的年代，車婷和她的家人每星期都會去一次茶樓。阿姨們可以在那裡待上一個早上，似乎有聊不完的話題，而孩子們則把茶樓當作遊樂場，跑來跑去、躲進桌子底下捉迷藏。
她希望透過獨幅版畫的小實驗，呈現那一抹兒時的飲茶回憶——香港一代人的飲食文化。而每印一幅獨幅版畫，作品的色彩都會逐漸減淡，宛如她與家人共度的舊時光。
