About Che-ting
Che-ting is an illustrator, live minimally in a metropolitan city, Hong Kong. She loves exploring the trivial things, people, stories around the themes of diversified culture and scenery, transforming these aspects of life into her inspiration. Her work is bright and harmonious, primarily using gouache and colored pencils as her main media to create textures, layers, and compositions that engaged people with issues surrounding culture, environment, space, and community.
After embarked on several art journeys across Asia, Europe and Africa for her self-initiated project “On My Way to Make Zine”, she turned her attention to her hometown, gathering Hong Kong stories from visitors and self-published “Welcome to Hong Kong, My Friends” (2021) and “Our Hong Kong Stories” (2022) during the pandemic.
She published her first picture book “Baba’s Album” in 2024 and an illustration book “Travel Trilogy” in 2022.
車婷，在物質及資訊滿溢的香港，過着簡約生活的插畫家。喜歡把路上觀察到那些不起眼的小事情、小人物、小故事，轉化為圖文創作的養分。 她的作品柔和而明亮，主要以水彩、不透明水彩和木顏色等混合媒介創作，關注文化、環境、空間與社區等議題。
她曾在亞洲、歐洲及非洲展開數趟「在地創作Zine」藝遊之旅，在當地印製那當下的旅途中小誌。疫情 期間，她把生活重心放在自己的城市——香港，向公眾收集不同的香港故事，獨立出版《香港香港》(2021) 和《我們香港故事》(2022) 。
著有繪本《爸爸相簿》（2024）和圖文書《旅繪三國誌—藝遊緬甸、斯里蘭卡、尼泊爾》（2022）。
